Super Street MSS2
The Super Street is a brand new series that will be fully debuted in 2020 around the world. We have a limited number of units that have been part of a pilot production that are now available for purchase in Australia only. The MSS2 is derived from the ultra-reliable Dillenger Street Kit which is both Dillenger’s number 1 top seller globally and also the most purchased conversion kit, ever. We’ve taken all the super reliable componentry such as the motor, controller and battery cell configuration and assembled these into a newly designed frame that is versatile, user friendly, easy to ride and is guaranteed to impress any rider.
Cross over style
The style of the MSS2 is something we’re pretty chuffed with. It’s a 26” size medium height frame with a step through design. Step through frames have looked a bit dorky in years gone by, but we always get requests for 26” step through frames so we’ve built the MSS2 to look sporty (almost like an off road hybrid) and with the benefit and comfort of a step through design. It’s a one size fits all design with a seat post that can be adjusted from extremely low to higher than required. What’s made this frame possible is the integrated battery which is an evolution from our Easy models which debuted back in 2016. The 36V 10.4Ah Samsung battery is so neatly integrated into the frame, we had to spec the colour scheme to make the battery stand out so that you can see where it’s located.
Super simplicity
With reliability and ease of use in mind, we’ve kept things very simply with the MSS2 . You won’t find a colour display or a GPS guided nav computer that tells you when you’ve run out of milk. The simplicity of the MSS2 is its charm and it means we’ve been able to keep the cost very reasonable. It’s without a doubt one of the easiest e-bikes to use which matters to a lot of people who would rather focus their attention on their surroundings and enjoy the ride. Turn it on, select your pedal assist setting and away you go.
Reliability
Electric bikes are complicated machines with literally thousands of parts which make up a complete e-bike. We’ve had fancy models before with so many custom components that the need for special attention can begin to weigh heavily on the enjoyment of owning such a machine. There’s something to be said for keeping things simple and using proven tech that’s known, reliable and does the job as it should. We’ve opted for components that we know from previous models and components we know will last years, not months. Tektro disk brakes front and back, Shimano 7 speed Tourney with a single front chain ring (we don’t tend to use the gears much on an electric bike) and a high quality integrated Samsung battery pack to name a few.Ideal utility
With the premise of simplicity and reliability at the core of the MSS2 design, we’ve produced a model that lends itself to a variety of applications, such as a utility for food delivery. Uber eats, Deliveroo and local restaurants would be able to take full advantage of the versatility, ease of use and reliability of this new model. With this possibility in mind, we’ve added some additional design elements such as a sturdy rear rack, derailleur bar protection, highly visible front and rear lights (powered by the main e-bike battery), easy to adjust disk brakes, puncture resistant tyres and wheels that can take a curb at any angle. The basic LED display is plugged at the handlebars (the cable doesn’t mysteriously disappear into the frame) so if the bike is knocked over and the display is damaged, it can be replaced in under a minute. It’s not a motorbike and for commercial use we do have a few caveats on our warranty terms, however this e-bike would certainly be an asset in food delivery as an e-bike.
